July is dental month

Dog with toothbrush & toothpaste

Poor oral health in cats and dogs can cause painful tooth loss and gum disease in addition to serious health problems.

July is dental month and a perfect time to have your pets teeth checked for FREE by specially trained veterinary nurses.

Why should I worry about my pet's teeth?

Poor oral health in cats and dogs can cause painful tooth loss and gum disease in addition to serious health problems. Imagine how your mouth would feel if you never brushed your teeth! The plaque and tartar would build to the point of causing periodontal disease, which leads to receding, infected gums, and infected tooth roots.

We often hear 'But he eats well, so his teeth can’t be bothering him'. This is not necessarily true. Most animals can tolerate a lot of pain before they show any signs. In the wild, showing signs of pain makes animal vulnerable to prey so they will hide pain for as long as possible. Pets often learn to live
with pain especially if it comes on gradually.

Let us look at your pets teeth and gums to see if they are hiding any pain or discomfort due to any dental disease.

The best way to prevent dental disease is to have 6 monthly check ups and implement a good dental homecare program. Our nurses can develop an individual homecare program specially to suit you and your pet. If your pet hasn't had a dental check up in the last 6 months, now is the perfect time to do it.

Not only do you receive a Free dental check, if you share the offer with a friend you will receive a special gift and the chance to in your pet's next vaccination for FREE.
