What happens at a Puppy Party
Puppy Parties are based on positive reinforcement or “reward training”, making it a fun experience for the puppies and the owners, and the puppies are very keen to learn. All training is completed in a calm manner.
Owners will need to bring bring their puppies on a flat lead and collar and bring a familiar mat for them to sit on, as well as some tasty treats for their puppy to assist their training sessions such as liver treats, cabanossi, cheese. It is important to use a treat that will motivate your puppy.
Classes are run by qualified veterinarians and veterinary nurses, who also cover general healthcare such as nutrition, fleas, worming and how to prevent diseases. Behaviour advice can also be discussed depending on the individual needs of the class. Puppies are also exposed to a number of new experiences in a safe and caring environment.
The staff at Summer Street Veterinary Clinic welcome everyone to our Puppy Parties and are happy to discuss any questions you may have. Please contact us to find our when our next class starts.
